EDoN
Early Detection of Neurodegenerative diseases
The Early Detection of Neurodegenerative diseases initiative (EDoN) launched in 2018 to investigate innovative ways to detect dementia-causing diseases early using digital technologies.
EDoN partnered with four international cohorts to follow up participants using four digital tools over the course of a year. Now led from London, UK (UCL), we have partners in Boston, USA (Boston University), Sydney, AU (University of Sydney), and Perth, AU (University of Western Australia, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University).
Ongoing work is focused on harmonising collected digital and clinical data and making it available to the scientific community to draw insight and understanding, including about which measures reveal clues that assist in early detection.
